We were lucky to find Stephanie when we decided to elope, as she kept us calm, well-informed, and laughing during our two short weeks of preparation. She has a warm and kind spirit, inviting us to be creative with our ceremony, and was always wonderfully open to our not-so-standard ideas. As an officiant, her words were sensitive, genuine, and full of love. We are so glad we chose her to both guide and join us for our tiny journey, and highly recommend her to others! We brought more people than we originally mentioned. Stephanie was very welcoming and set us up in a cozy and nice living room. Afterwards, she recommended a brunch place that is walk-able distance, which has great food. we brought our witnesses and their families out to that place for celebration after.

My future husband and I were researching officiants for our interfaith wedding and had contacted multiple candidates; one of which was Rev. Stephanie Town. Our initial meeting was via facetime and right from the get-go the conversation flowed very naturally. Stephanie seemed genuinely interested in hearing our story and what our expectations for the day would be. There was no question in our mind who we wanted to marry us. Stephanie worked closely with us to create our script and ensure that we were on track for getting the appropriate paperwork in place. When we finally had the chance to meet in person and run through everything we felt our nerves kicking in – it’s not every day you get married! Stephanie was so gracious and welcoming that we instantly felt at ease. We truly felt like she invested time and consideration to ensure that both of us were represented – no detail was overlooked. From incorporating elements of Jewish tradition into the ceremony for my husband and making sure that my 92-year old French speaking grandmother had a translated program to follow along with. We could not have been more touched by her genuine care in the outcome of our special day. THANK YOU Stephanie!

My partner and I immediately felt at ease with Rev. Town from our first video chat with her, and knew she was going to be a calming and grounding presence for us during our ceremony. She took lovely care in crafting a meaningful ceremony for us, including lighting a memorial candle for those who couldn't be with us, and kicking things off with a beautiful retelling of our love story. She was even able to roll with the punches as my now husband rescued me from a spider that was crawling in my hair (!!) mid-ceremony. 

She also took the time to walk us through the steps we needed to take after the ceremony to get our marriage certificate, which prompted two married members of our wedding party to realize they had never filed the right paperwork after their weddings, so she helped them as well :)

A Lovely Officiant
Stephanie was the officiant for our wedding and was amazing. She gave us lots of options for scripts and reading but still gave us the flexibility to make the ceremony personal and reflective of us as a couple. She was well organized. Would highly recommend.

Stephanie was great to work with! After our initial meeting with her, we were charmed with how genuine, kind, and energetic she is. Working with her leading up to the ceremony was stress free. Stephanie did a great job helping us and guiding us to tailor our ceremony exactly how we wanted. She also helped us incorporate our close friend into the ceremony. We got in touch with Stephanie just a couple weeks before our planned wedding date after finding out our intended venue would not be available due to the global pandemic. From the first phone call with Stephanie, we had a great feeling and knew Stephanie would help us to delivery the special moment we were hoping for. Stephanie was extremely accommodating and thoughtful, even presenting contingency plans and expressing her commitment to ensure we had a great day! Stephanie was incredibly quick and helpful for our very short notice wedding giving us not just advice on the legal requirements and service details but also on social distancing requirements, masking and all of the other COVID related requirements, and there was even excellent technical support for Zoom making sure the experience worked for our families in other places. Stephanie showed so much empathy and understanding of what we wanted in the service, that the day was perfect, both for us in person, and for the families not able to attend. We cannot recommend Stephanie highly enough - she was fantastic!

Stephanie is an amazing human being. Not only did she care about performing our wedding ceremony in the middle of a pandemic (taking all precautions), but also she did her best to make us feel home, even though our family was not able to come celebrate it with us. Every detail about that moment was simply well thought by her, and she put a lot of effort on exceeding our expectations. We were able to connect in a personal way, in only minutes and during such a short encounter. Her help, kindness and support will always be part of the best memories about our special day.

Right from the start Stephanie was so professional and on the ball. Then when we met her, we just felt so comfortable with her and confident - she was the right fit. We had to adjust our plans because of Covid-19 and she was so accommodating. Along the way she offered such wisdom and reassurance - she becomes more than just your officiant, but also a wedding guide in many ways. She has so much great advice, insight and helpful hints - like bring kleenex - which we both forgot, but she didn't. She was right there with those much -needed tissues! So many of our guests told us afterward how great she was. She sets the right tone - it's like this is her calling.

Stephanie was so kind and accommodating with us. My husband and I decided to get married with nine days notice, and we met Stephanie about four days prior to the ceremony. She was game with our plans and impulsivity! So grateful to her, she brought a beautiful peaceful energy to the ceremony. Thank you Stephanie!
